When a Journey Fosters Niagara volunteer was unable to detect a microchip because the poor sweet kitty just laid in the finder's arms and slept.
Seeing this very sweet, but sickly kitty was difficult and our volunteer didn’t want to disturb him, so no microchip was detected. The finder was able to take him to a local vet, where they found a chip. Outcome is unknown, but we'll assume that this grateful kitty, who may have frostbite on top of a respiratory issue, has been medically treated and hopefully went back to him home with his family. The finder is certainly the hero of the story!
Update: Kitty was reunited with his family, who rushed him to the vet, but unfortunately, he passed away. He had been missing for over a year. Thanks to the Good Samaritan who found and cared for him by providing comfort, warmth, and love and then reunited him with his family! Peace to all involved.
